Darüber hinaus hat die Kunst- und Kulturmetropole an der Elbe für Glashütte eine ganz besondere Bedeutung: Von der sächsischen Landeshauptstadt ging im 19. Jahrhundert der entscheidende Impuls aus, die Uhrmacherkunst im Erzgebirge anzusiedeln. Heute verneigt sich Glashütte Original vor dem geschichtsträchtigen sowie zukunftsorientierten Dresden mit einer handgravierten Sonderedition, die Tradition und Moderne vortrefflich vereint.
